Sarasota Lionfish Derby

Mote Marine Laboratory is hosting the 3rd annual Sarasota Lionfish Derby, which will feature fishing teams competing for the biggest lionfish haul on Saturday. The best part is on Sunday, July 10th where our Chef Gerard will be lending his culinary expertise by preparing and serving FREE lionfish tastings along with Chef Steve Phelps and Chef Paul Mattison (starting at 12pm). We can’t think of a better way to rid our waters of an invasive species than eating ’em!
